About The Design
The X Bench Stone Bench features a contemporary application based on a conventional bench design. The bench is molded by expert artisans to capture the detail and texture of the design, and then finished by hand using a multi-step process. This original design demonstrates a genuine understanding of garden art - especially texture, patina and the softening effects of age and weather. The weatherproof finish will not peel when exposed to the elements, thus allowing these benches to be used outdoors as well as indoors.
About The Molding and Finishing Process
These sturdy, cast stone benches are created through a careful process. First, a team hand pours the liquid cast stone mixture into the crafted mold and utilizes special techniques to remove the air bubbles, guaranteeing you a solid stone structure. The PSI (pounds per square inch) is measured to its optimum level to insure strength and durability in the stone. Once the stone is air dried and gone through an internal quality check, it is sent to the finishing department where seams are ground and any air holes caused by the pouring process are filled and smoothed. It is the final step that allows each piece to become a unique and original work of garden art when the patina finish is applied and any excess is wiped away to highlight detail.
